"A living room for Alton..."

We believe that redeeming the abandoned spaces in Alton is a sign, instrument, and foretaste of a deeper transformation to come. POST is a beautiful 12,000 square foot, turn of the century marble and stone complex that has unique historical significance and beauty boasting incredible views of the Mississippi and the downtown core of Alton. It is right next to the City Hall, the Catholic high school, a national law firm of 200 attorneys, and three historic churches. It is a key stop on city bus routes and is walkable to the entire downtown population.

The current POST building

Alton presently has very little in regards to gathering spaces for coffee, meetings, or community connection. So POST will be known as “a living room” for Alton. Our plans include a total interior renovation that will serve as the home of coffee/food/events/music & arts/community training, spiritual connection, and shared office space for our Lantern Network and for those that are serving in our micro initiatives.
